About the Event

The 3rd Annual BKA West Midlands Iaido Seminar and Grading will be held on May 19th/20th at the Doug Ellis Sports Centre, Wellhead Lane, Perry Barr, Birmingham.

The seminar will be lead by Victor Cook, 7th dan, Renshi, supported by Fay Goodman, 7th dan, Renshi as in previous years.
They will be supported this year by Tony Devine, 6th dan, Martin Chambers, 5th dan and Phil Henderson, 4th dan.

The hall this year is twice the size of last year, 8 badminton courts for Saturday, and reduced for Sunday. A catering van will be available for lunches, but as of this moment we do not have a sample menu. There is a parking charge in force, but we are trying to get that waived.

Please book promptly, and notify us if you are interested in joining the Saturday evening ‘Sayanara Party’.

The Saturday plan is Registration 9:30 – 10:00

Start 10{00 – 12:20 Lunch 12:20 – 13:30 Afternoon 13:30 – 16:45

Sunday 09:30 start Lunch/Finish 12:30 Grading 13:30 – 15:00

I have not had any menus, but I will chase this up today, as with parking. Both parties, the Uni and the sports hall, say it is up to the other to agree parking exemptions. I am still chasing this! – Patrick
